About the Business

Formally, I worked as a biomedical scientist within NHS pathology departments in various parts of the country. In 1986 I became the technical manager of the Cellular Pathology Department at Victoria Hospital Blackpool. As a result of a back injury I became interested in alternative approaches to treatment and in 1996 I decided to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine) at the Northern College of Acupuncture, York. After seven years of intensive study, I graduated in Acupuncture (2000) and Chinese Herbal Medicine (2003). For several years I was locum clinic supervisor at the Northern College of Acupuncture, York. I also supervised students in the acupuncture clinic at University of Salford and lectured on Anatomy and meridian theory as part of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) degree course at Salford.

Anna is a fabulously dedicated practitioner who puts her all into treating patients. She brought me back to full mobility and functioning from a very poor state of health. Very much recommend her.

I visited Anna due to infertility issues and had been told by NHS doctor and professionals that my chances of conceiving were very small. I was treated with both chinese herbs and acupuncture by Anna, and have absolutely no qualms in stating that I believe 100% that it was these interventions ( in particular the herbs) that balanced out my body, enabling me to be able to become pregnant. I am now just over 6 months pregnant, and fit and strong.
