Deep Tissue Massag:

Devised by an Osteopath, this massage uses effective techniques to alter muscle tension and spasm which may be a result of stress, repetitive strain or overuse.

The areas needing particular attention are determined in consultation with the therapist but the treatment will always ensure that deeply embedded tension areas away from the pain are included as they may be the cause of a localised discomfort.

This form of massage is also very therapeutic as it stimulates the circulatory systems and energy paths, creating a sensation of balance and well-being.

Reflexology:

Used in the Ancient World, Reflexology acts on the whole body with the object of inducing a state of balance and harmony and, consequently, helping the body restore its own healing properties.

The methodical application of gentle pressure on reflex areas in the feet creates a state of deep relaxation and an incredible sense of well-being.

Reflexology works primarily on the nervous, circulatory and subtle personal energy systems. After a period of training with Sue Ricks who developed Gentle Touch™ Reflexology, a more subtle and refined form of treatment has now been offered to clients with great success. The techniques are characterised by the lightness of touch and the use of oil, giving the client a feeling of foot massage while, through the skills of the therapist, bringing the full benefit of a Reflexology treatment.

A Gentle Touch™ Reflexology session leaves you relaxed, content and rebalanced physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Craniosacral Therapy:

The CranioSacral system, like the respiratory and cardiovascular systems, is a physiological system. It is made up of cerebrospinal fluid, the membranes containing it and the bones it is attached to. It greatly influences the nervous, hormone and immune systems.

A CranioSacral treatment has the receiver, fully clothed, lying comfortably face up, whilst the practitioner monitors and works with the spinal pulses on various areas of the body in order to determine areas of blockages. By applying extremely gentle pressure, at times hardly noticeable, many of these blockages can be removed. The effect is deeply relaxing and brings a profound feeling of realignment, allowing healing from the core.

CranioSacral techniques are often incorporated when appropriate in Reflexology or Massage as an enhancement to the treatment. If session time and charge need to be extended as a result, the therapist will always seek client’s agreement beforehand.

I have much faith in Christine as a healer. I have treatments on a regular basis. I find these greatly help me reduce the anxiety and stress associated with a busy lifestyle. Having treatments cleanses me of negative energy and keeps me feeling calm and energised.

Megan has received treatments for chronic constipation for 4 years on a regular basis since the age of 5. Treatments have improved her condition and also helped her to relax more, which has not only improved Megan's well being, but the well being of our family.

I can thoroughly recommend Christine and the treatments she has given me... She has a very intuitive way of working to bring balance and wholeness to the body and is indeed a true, and I believe, natural healer. Christine always seems to know exactly which treatment would be best... afterwards the tension has lifted and I feel lighter, calmer and very relaxed. Her treatment room is an oasis of calm and tranquility.
