Pilates is a body conditioning exercise method, developed in Germany by Joseph Pilates. Although Pilates is used extensively by professional dancers and athletes aiming to enhance their physicalperformance it is also an appropriate activity for first time exercisers. It's gentle, controlled movements are unlikely to aggravate existing conditions. Having studied Five Elements acupuncture at the Traditional College of Acupuncture in Leamington Spa, I have been in practice serving patients in the Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, Lichfield andTamworth areas within the UK for over 30 years.
